Some of you may have heard by now that there is a potential concern with Minamoto batteries. There is a chance that the batteries will overheat when charging. These batteries are in a limited number of Campus S transmitters and can be easily identified by their purple color.

Phonak has notified ATE that there is a chance that Campus S transmitters that have a serial number larger than “046C33466” could have the Minamoto battery. Within the ATE loan bank, the following five Campus S transmitters could be affected: serial number 049c33835, 049C33831, 049C12653, 049C12703, 049C12707.

Prior to receiving this notice from Phonak, there may have been a limited number of Minamoto batteries issued as replacements as well.

Please notify me if you have a Campus S with a Minamoto battery so that the battery can be replaced. Because Phonak has agreed to provide replacement batteries, please return the Minamoto batteries to ATE after you receive your replacement.

Thanks

Homework Helper from the Fraser Valley Regional Library
Here is a link to a service that some of you may find useful for students who need out of school assistance with homework.

The Fraser Valley Regional Library offers free one to one on line tutoring for students in gr. 4-12 through Live Homework Help. The system connects students via the internet with specialist tutors in math, science, social studies and English. I logged on and within a couple of minutes had access in real time to a tutor for assistance with essay writing.

For information and to access this service go to www.fvrl.bc.ca and click on the yellow "Live Homework Help" icon.

Simeon Soundfield Question

Hello
I'm wondering if anyone has used Simeon Soundfields and what their experiences are with them. I've never tried any before.

No more Seimens boots

Good morning everyone. For those of you who have not been informed, Siemens is no longer making boots for the Prisma 2VC hearing aid. I contacted Siemens and was told that any student who currently has a Prisma 2VC can exchange it for a Prisma that is FM compatible. According to Siemens, there are no restrictions on when the aid was purchased to participate in this exchange.
